OK. Today it’s going to be smooth on Hey Pretty. ALMOST SMOOTH. We take: Steffi, fully motivated and already a Kafi intus. With: Liliane, Steffi’s girlfriend and owner of a (currently) long mane, the pretty fast … how do you say that nice … out of control?
The scene for (hopefully) hair happiness?
Head case on the Badenerstrasse here in Zurich: Here you have many years of experience with the treatment, which promises “a hair feeling to fall in love”.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
The Kerasilk Control Keratin Treatment has been one of the success stories of Goldwell hairdressers for several years, and with good reason:
The “KeraShape” technology penetrates deep into the hair structure and unfolds its effect – whereby new keratin bridges are created and the hair is transformed from the inside and its surface is evenly smoothed. The complete treatment lasts 2.5 to 3 hours depending on hair length and lasts on average between 3 and 5 months.
Kassandra, who is virtually the keratin queen at Head Case in Zurich, executes the treatment on average by 3 to 4 times a week in spring and in winter and is SUPERVARAT with the whole process.
The treatment is tailored to the personal structure of the hair so that the result is always “on the measure” depending on the starting position.
Liliane wants her somewhat “nodded” hairs to be a bit smoother and shiny … Kerasilk Control-Treatment is also suitable for even thicker, tangled hair where a volume reduction is desired.
Step 1: Cleaning
Here, the hair is washed three times (!) In succession with a special, deep-cleansing shampoo and prepared for the upcoming treatment: The Kerasilk Control treatment is available in two intensity levels: with Liliane, the medium version is wonderful.
Subsequently, the hair is dry-blown to about 80%. The hair shaft is now open, the hair is strikingly strawy and ready for the (taDAAAA!) Magic.
Step 2: The Keratin Transformation
Oooh, a fancy expression for the technical (chemical) part of the treatment!
Kassandra mixes the two keratin components and applies the liquid applied evenly with the brush, on the whole, hair length, which is quite impressive at the moment Liliane!
Even me (with my fair hair) could do it: Kassandra says that it is not recommended for bleached hair.
After 15 minutes of exposure, the hair is then completely dry-blown with the round brush … which looks a bit strange, I must admit.
It takes quite a long time until the hair with the whole product is really dry … but do not despair … we are only about an hour here.
And now … let’s add some heat!
Step 3: The smoothing
Now the hair is parted again, and then the product is “pressed” into the hair with the special Kerasilk flat iron. Kassandra puts the focus on the top 10 cm because Liliane’s hair lengths are bleached and after their beach holiday in Morocco are also a bit attacked.
The smoothing part takes about 30 minutes because Kassandra has to work very carefully to guarantee a regular result. For Liliane and me no problem, because there are still a lot of robber stories to share … we have not seen each other for weeks!
Not gonna lie: This part of the treatment will generate a lot of steam – but compared to the keratin treatments that I tested six or seven years ago, the Kerasilk Control also smells intense at this stage, but not nearly as blatant as it used to,
And the flat iron is set relatively low at 180° so that the hair is not damaged.
Step 4: Post-treatment and styling
Yaaaay … now the whole thing can be washed out! After the Kerasilk Control Shampoo (which Liliane also gets home after the treatment), a special care serum is applied.
Yep, blow dry and style one last time …
And that’s all up to Valentine’s Day and beyond!
Steffi has 3 Kafis into, Liliane has given all the holiday stories to the best and the patient Kassandra holds out even for a last group victory …
… and at the end of the treatment, Liliane will also bring home some of the Kerasilk Control range of products specifically formulated to keep unruly hair in shape and continue to guarantee the Kerasilk Control treatment at home.
If you meet her on the street, you should urgently ask her to swing her mane for a short time in a shampoo-advertising manner for you!
Thank you, Kassandra and Head Case for the great treatment and I hope that this Liveticker review brings some light into the keratin thicket (höhö).
